So it's been awhile a really long time since I posted a blog. I am sorry and as life has its ups and downs the fact remains life happens!
So here is where we are in life and what has gone on...
We moved being the top of the list! Out of our Kingdom of Chez Stoneford to the Nation's Capital. It was a huge career move for Mr. Bacon Bringer Homer and a huge move forward for our family as a whole. We have more time to spend with each other and after getting almost all of our boxes unpacked we are loving almost every minute of it!
Monk misses "our old house" and his best friends deeply and that has been very frustrating for him. He has come around to the fact that to see family now, we go to the airport and they come in on an airplane, which for this mini-human is so cool!
The Gator is doing phenomenally and well at 15 mo he is pretty oblivious to the fact that we moved far away, but the new sights and sounds are really captivating his attention!
Our "Farm" is having to get used to the fact that we no longer have this big huge yard for them to frolic in and that they have concrete and gravel, but still have some room so they are not on top of each other.
Mr. Bacon Bringer Homer LOVES his new job! Which for me is excellent that he is not just complacent with where he works and what he does, but actually is re-motivated again doing what he loves.
Then there is me, I am coming to terms with my friends being far away and that I have to keep moving forward every day and looking at it as the next exciting chapter in this book I call life! Boy has my phone bill gone through the roof! I am sure now since I have gotten us mostly settled in that getting out and exploring and meeting people will come as naturally as it has with other moves.
Having said that, man moving sucks. I now understand how people can say...oh when we had kids this was the last move we did! Fortunately, I was able to have my mom take the kids while we packed up the house, but as for moving out and moving in and unpacking with children...WHOA! Exhausted just doesn't cover it or come close!
